Free to Succeed Tour

It’s a little after 1AM.  I’m sleepy and bleary eyed and I have to get up early in the morning.  But I just got home from David Jay’s Free to Succeed Tour and had to put up this post because it was so awesome!  I wasn’t sure what to expect, I mean I’m familiar with DJ’s philosophy but never fully understood it until this evening when I heard him explain it.  It was really well worth the time (and the hour long drive to Queens, NY) to be a part of what he was sharing with everyone.  Jasmine Star was there and gave an emotional and extremely funny presentation.  She has a wild personality that is energetic and real and I was really moved by her personal story of how she got to this point in her life.  Also, Becker stopped by and gave a preview of his new [b] School project which is like a FaceBook for photographers which looks really slick.  Can’t wait to try it.

I also met some cool photographers, including a fellow Jamaican based in Canada, Carl Reid, from Attached Photography.

Here are a few pics from the show tonight.  ugh…look at the time….off to bed.

The inspiring and “ghetto fabulous” (her words not mine) Jasmine Star

Welcome to the Blog

Hi!  Thanks for visiting the Hammond PhotoDesign Blog!

Have you ever seen one of those performance jugglers who is tossing everything from bowling balls to chainsaws all at the same time, standing on one leg?  Well that’s what I’ve been doing preparing Hammond PhotoDesign for launch!  It’s been hectic but exciting because starting this venture is a new experience for me and not a day goes by where I don’t learn something new.  I have a lot of stuff in the pipeline and a few more small tweaks that I need to do but we’re almost there!  So stay tuned more to come.

note to self: sign up for juggling lessons…
